I just sent a message to Balth. I don't have a ticket yet, but where there's a will there's usually a wai; I'll find something. I'm already in L.A., so at least I'm pretty close. If I can find something we'll definitely make plans.
Last year Balth and I kicked off the event this way:
Thursday, 11PM - Airport pickup
Thursday, 11:50pm - Hotel Checkin
Friday, 9AM - registration
Friday, 11AM - BEERS
After that it was a bunch of hazy fun, panels, great food, fun folks, games and I kinda forget the rest. But let's do it again!

Not sure if they still do this but... I recommend doing registration and picking up your goody bags Thursday so all you have to do Friday is stand in line to get in. I prefer leaving that stuff locked in my hotel room vs carting around all day, sometimes there is a large item in included.
